Our Project
FN Connections painstakingly restored the Historic Hat Creek Ranch in 2024. The ranch is located on one of the few sections of the original Cariboo Wagon Roads still accessible to the public.
The ranch includes almost 130 hectares (320 acres) of Cottonwood trees, golden fields and gentle rolling hills in the sunny southern Interior of B.C. The trees were maintained and trimmed by FN Connections’ expert team of arborist and tree cutters to ensure tree health and landscape continuity.
The buildings stand as they did in 1901; some were built as early as 1860. Most were established between1885 and 1905. They witness the busiest era of transportation along the Road, serving the needs of freight wagons and passengers of the B.C. Express Rail Line.
To bring the settlement back to life, FN Connections has improved structural integrity of the various historic buildings and log houses, restored the paint to original color palette and aged it to look era appropriate.
